A complaint is the best thing a business can get.

i am complaining about the ideos because i want it to have more features , for me , its my phone it should work for me.

i want a longer lasting battery, a phone with a bigger keypad (Chinese fingers just don't compare to African ones) .

satisfaction with what you have leads to stagnation, let people vent their issues ,sad or happy.

true development comes from all the complainers not all you very agreeable people.

the technology will succeed if they can address more problems, so far the tekkies like the phone now extend it for the non tekkies.

on that thought, here is what i think about chinese industry, and why they will succeed big time. 

they studied the america vs japanese models on cars. and realized that japan won cause of working on the costs. 

so they sought to lower the cost of production to the absolute minimum (they had the population, so they did loads of cheap energy (3 Gorges, coal ..etc)

then they went for cheap raw materials by getting it cheap instead of through wars and occupations. 

then to start off, they decided not to reinvent the wheel, so they copied existing technology, not so much to make money as to understand and work the tech cheaper. 

then now they are beginning to innovate on that (russian fighter planes, more defined mobile phone brands...e.t.c) at a fraction of the cost... 

Im betting they are going for the kill, bottom prices and excellent products and exclusive deals with providers... you watch this space, the army from the east is coming for us.

This phone is just great! At just Kshs 8500 = GREAT PHONE+ 1000 AIRTIME + 600MB DATA.

Which Nokia/Samsung acts like a wireless router, has WIFI, has GPS, acts like a 3G modem, Bluetooth, fully touch screen and has thousands apps 

to choose from for Kshs 6500 (8500 minus 1k airtime and 1k data)?

This phone is now a threat to the likes of Samsung Galaxy whose price is over 5 times. I can't wait for Huawei IDEOS Reloaded.  Maybe its gonna

be the next big thing in phones.

I used the 2nd IDEOS in Kenya, Gabon, and South Africa - amazing experience. I had to give it away when I got to SA - but have sworn to myself that I must buy another one (this last one was glaring pink - but I loved the features).

Long story short - any model of phone will have (some) faulty units which need warranty replacement - especially if they are moving in the quantities that the IDEOS is moving!

for $100 this is probably the next best thing after sliced bread!!!!

I have an an  android phone(ideos) with wifi gps 3g 32g sd support at 8500 whats there to complain about battery you might say but most phone running android have this problem.

Summary.
android is increasing its market share.
huawei is increasing sales and getting more recognition.
safaricom get more data sales however not entirely true because the phone is not locked to safcom.
I have a smart phone(with ANDROID). I win.
