There is a group calling itself Bidii Afrika (bidiiafrika@googlegroups.com) that has been subscribing people without their consent and sending a ton of email. In addition, they have not been honouring people's requests to unsubscribe. If anyone on this list is affiliated with this organization, you may want to advise the owner/moderator of the group to cease and desist. In the meantime, we have flagged them for abuse.
In the event of similar cases going forward, feel free to report such behaviour to abuse@googlegroups.com

Chris (Kiagiri), I remember the last time this came up, I gave you the e-mail address and phone contact for the fellow who runs that group and you were to take it up with him. Perhaps you could tell us the results of your interaction with him? bidiiafrika group is known for harvesting e-mail addresses and subscribing them without any consent. I am lucky I locked my gmail account the first day I started using it so I deflected his attempts at subscribing me. @Aki - if you have the guts, the guy behind this is called Robert Alai ( robert.alai@gmail.com).
