[Skunkworks] Help...XAMPP phpMyAdmin isn't working on my Linux (Mint)

Hi all, My XAMPP phpMyAdmin isn't working on Linux (Mint). The warning I get is "Wrong permissions on config file shouldn't be world writable". So I revoked the write permissions for the user groups and others for the config file (my.cnf) but its still not working. Any help on this will be appreciated. *allay*
