I went to the Safaricom shop in Sarit this evening and asked which Android phones they had available. I was shown a number but not the IDEOS. I then specifically asked for the IDEOS - the sales person said they had none in stock and in fact had never stocked them. I inisted that they had sold some earlier in the day and asked him to check. I almost had to show him Moses' email to convince him. So he went into the back and lo and behold he found they do actually stock them and do have them on sale. He said he had no idea they were there! I was a little bit suspicious of that as he looked like the "first body" of the sales people at that shop. Unless someone is keeping the information away from some of the staff which is equally dodgy. Lots of people were buying the Nokia C3s which are 10k i.e/ 1.5k more expensive that the IDEOS. He did let me know that there are only 6 pieces left, so if you want one better be quick. I doubt they will be any left by Saturday evening.
