Hi ya'll I dropped my external HDD (transcend) and now everytime I plug it in I get the error, A USB device conected to this machine has malfunctioned............ so I can't be able to view ant of the drives nor data in it.
The HDD itself may be OK, maybe the problem is the hardware that makes up the casing, power connection and SATA/USB circuitry. I'd buy a cheap EXT HDD case...or dismantle someone else's - and connect the HDD to it. Or connect it to any SATA connector, maybe inside a desktop PC. Regards, Steve
