correction: phpro.org appears to be back online... after months out. On 8/1/11, John Doe Smith Kamau KipNg'etich Jones <skunkworks.ku@gmail.com> wrote:
still @jared... well, the HTML part (for both the front and back) are from obscure sources i dont remember anymore
... the code is, however, proudly mine. the CMS is built on an MVC framework i personally built from tutorials (mostly from phpro.org [but that site is offline these days] and other randomly googled stuff). it's quite basic, very small.... meeting just the minimum requirements for MVC (or at least those i could find at wikipedia)... uses PDO for DB access (with a singleton class for the database connection object). i've started to look at kohana too... planning to incorporate some stuff from it into my DB layer. implementation wise, kohana (3.1) is very, very different from mine. it gets to controller-action methods in very ninja ways compared to my simple, direct technique.....
anyway... enuf bubble. any bids? anyone...

@ Jared Koyier of course the template is free! .... u should see my own html works, hehehe... given my artistic-ness (or lack thereof), i prefer to keep info on source of my html away from the client... but hey, on the bryt side... script kiddies like me make guys like u look good :-)

lmfao... ok... sawa. thank u all for noting my many fails.
@ webmaster@kenyanlyrics.com : well, the "opinion-driven bile" here is quite harsh, but if it becomes important once you take it the right way. takes some experience & know-how (which i certainly lack) to write up those comments... you just need to burry below the face value of the opinions and derive some tips from them.... like the *fails* from paul kevin and brian kipropest. i now know i should somehow .htaccess those directories from web-access. and the bad opinion for the back-end user-friendliness shows me that it was much worse than i thot myself.
@gisho ... shhh!! the value of the site cld go lower if people know i used a free template... keep the trade secrets on the list!

lol... yeah. i know its crap at the back-end, but cut it some slack on the front-end. si mbaya vile (but some tips from mabeya are more than welcome). but since i'd always planned to manage the site-content for him, i wasn't particular about the HCI coz i'd be the one dealing with it. and no, never got paid (may be the guy who eventually built the site at acrag.org right now did ;-) ) and yes HCI is actually a unit i'm taking next sem... just hoping my lecturer won't use the notes he drew up back in the pascal days (it happens... we were taken thru html 3 last year, right when there was so much hype about html 5 )... but lets not derail this into a debate about the quality of IT education in kenya...
how much worth do u guys think the site is, as it...(forget the CMS-back end coz site visitors won't see that and the package includes me managing the site-content until the back-end is user-friendly enuf)
