May be this could help Wash. Using google apps email with my mailbox at 20GB currently. But since google doesn't have a way to view mail size I used to use Thunderbird to check for mails with large attachments to delete but it's a pain to use. So now looking for an alternative. Google searches so far lead me to Windows Live Mail and Mulberry (which has a crap interface). Currently trying out the former. Any other leads are welcome. Your question has no straight answer. There are way too many variables involved. You'd like me to enumerate??
Mailbox size? IMAP Server specs? Ethernet link? This is all server-side. Gmail is an IMAP interface and it's pretty fast with a good link.
If TB is slow, describe under what environment.

Hey guys,
What's a good, fast IMAP client that you can recommend? Used to use Thunderbird but found it too slow.

Alex
