At the end of the day, whether it works or not, PCK employees will be handsomely rewarded with salaries and bonuses. Their owner, the people of Kenya, will not take them to task over such failings. If they were to make more money also, it wouldn't impact any one's bottom line - so why care?

This got me thinking. What is it that stops PCK from having a functional website like the USPS one? Does PCK run without an IT Department to handle such things or is it the lack of competent webdevs to replicate what is on www.usps.com? I doubt if it's the later. Interestingly though, if you take a peek at http://www.posta.co.ke/home.asp, you get this feeling that someone tried this, but failed. Reasons? I don't know.
