@Dennis..I didn't 'flash' it. The phone vendor notified me that an update was available so I just accepted it. It was downloaded and installed automatically. At first I didn't need Mpesa since I was using another number, so I didn't notice it was missing until yesterday.

Brief history of the problem.

1.0 I had switched to a SIM card from a different service provider for about 2 weeks.
2.0 Upgraded my phone to Android 4.2.2

What I have done so far.

1.0 Restarted the phone several times.
3.0 Put my SIM card on another phone - it works perfectly!

Anyone else with the same problem?
