The obvious flaw in that parallel would be that .uk .de .fr etc were at a much more advanced level when .eu launched as compared to .ke .ug .rw etc are now when we are talking about .eac 

On top of that you'd have .eac fighting it out with .africa. what would be the impact of .eu fighting .europe?

Finally - the impact of .eu has been negligible as far as SEO is concerned anyway. If you are looking for a house in France what advantage does it have getting results from Netherlands? you rather search google.fr rather than a hypothetical google.eu 

However, my central concern is that for .eac to thrive .ke would have to die!
