Ok3ch,
I thought about it already in a different context - server context. I was imagining a MuA, storing mail, each mail per file, having, say, 2000 emails. Compare that to a MuA, using mbox, with 2000 emails. The later will definately be faster under same test environment, I swear. BTW, I need to test this Incredible Mail to see how the e-mails are stored. It'll be my first time seeing a MuA do that. The other app I have seen do that is MDaemon, but that is a server, not a reader.
There are not many MUA's known to store emails in Maildir format. The ones i know that are good and will support other functionality that i need like filters, pgp and multiple accounts are as follows; - Kmail (KDE) - Evolution (no idea if there's a windows version). Opera Mail is listed as supporting Maildir format but not used it or heard any +ve or -ve reviews to say anything about it. So any day i would go for an MUA with Maildir - but after the migration woes from Evolution to Thunderbird a couple of years back. I dont want to go back to a less supported format. But i would gladly and i mean gladly go back to Evolution in an instance. HTH. Michuki.
