Unfortunate, but i guess you'll have to unsubscribe yourself. the good news is: you can prevent this happening in the future by logging into your google account, then go to: http://groups.google.co.ke/groups/mysubs there, you should find a box marked "Do not allow group managers to directly add me to their groups" - tick the box, and save your prefs, and now nobody can add you into a group without your consent. Anyone share this experience?
I've been on a short trip away and upon getting back, I checked my email account. Its swamped by mails from a mailing list at bidiiafrika@googlegroups.com.
I have nothing against any groups trying to do their thing and I appreciate the work done by other groups etc but I'm not interested in receiving email about migingo, pregnancy tests and racist remarks etc. I also appreciate that these people thought I was someone who would contribute but unfortunately I cannot.
The strange part is that I never subscribed to this group and so I assume it was done WITHOUT MY CONSENT. I'm assuming that Google do have a policy against spamming, I'm not going to unsubscribe to the mailing list because I never subscribed to it in the first place.
Before I escalate this further, what would you suggest.
