A few contributions - following suggestions to make it 'kenyan' :

You guys can include coverage of IT related business on a small scale...

Example:

1) cyber cafes business in the city center Versus the estates

2) phone repair guys in Luthuli and river road (these guys actually flash phone sware and repair micro-circuits) - though they may not be your typical techie, their skills are handed down...

3) DVD @ 50 bob - business run by campus and college leavers along Moi avenue ( the 'science' behind downloading from the internet, converting to various forms and mass producing them - is techy !!)

4) vehicle electricians and installers - i find these guys pretty cool with what they do (though they do not have formal education) - some of them can install anything on ur vehicle (including those LCD screens to have a gps on ur dashboard?)

5) 2nd hand computer shops - I think we have all visited these - I think what they do to create cheap affordable computers by using clones and their parts is pretty awesome

Will think up of more laterz...
