Yes, virtual credit card. You'd send Airtel money and you'd get an sms with card number complete with expiry date and all, that you would use online for one transaction then toss. I guess getting a physical credit card was more secure? Maybe the card numbers ran out! I think it was Airtel, Stanchart and Mastercard way back in 2011
