You may just have misinterpreted the info on I&M card (unless they recently sneaked in some new charges, or you are looking at making frequent top-ups for 'small-value' purchases) I've been using the card for a year now. Apart from the < KES 300/= reload fee, I've never incurred any other charges. My general practices are : - Reload directly the currency you wish to spend on. - Use the card mostly for 'large-value' purchases so as to render the reload fee insignificant - Check the balance using the online portal.
