Skunk(ettes),

I am informed that only one team responded to the project Afya. This team, it seems, consists of some serious professionals and they will be meeting with the client in the next few days.

I suppose that only one team responded suggests to me that most skunk(ette)s are uninterested/unable/un-confident to work in teams and bid for work.

I had a few who said to me that they had never before bid or done a profile of themselves and therefore were not confident.

I had a number of company executives from web companies - including one who is fairly active on this forum - suggest to me that giving a chance to freelance developers is a waste of time and the work should be given to them.

One supposes that we shall watch Project Afya's performance with interest.

In other news, I had another set of clients who have a project that we can call 'project watu' who have interest in trying out a freelance team. Should they hold out any hope that this model could work in skunkworks?
