I haven't personally used it, but it looks like you'll basically get a
"mini" Ubuntu inside of Windows, including the ability to install
Ubuntu packages using APT. Some stuff won't work, including GUI and
low-level programs [1] [2].

It's made possible by the Windows Subsystem for Linux [3] compatibility layer.
