Been having the same problem and I use opendns by default. started about three weeks ago and I've even tried to hack the /etc/ppp/options file to stop it from disconnecting every 30 secs but no change. try changing your DNS to OpenDNS and see if it works. search it or wikipedia it if you dont know about it. i think the URL is www.opendns.com
