[Skunkworks] Help with Network manager.

Hi guys. Am trying to connect to the internet using network manager 0.7 on ubuntu 9.04 but i cant despite having an ip, gateway and dns . I try to ping and i get " operation not permitted". The browser reports it cannot reach the server. Despite this using applications like umtsmon or vodafone mobile connect for linux with a usb modem connects well. I had installed wicd to manage the wired and wireless connections but removed it in favor of network manager. I should also mention i had enabled nat (masquared) on ppp0.
