Ok, I dont know if you have tried this; But does the scanner appear in "My Computer" ? And if yes, is it possible to do a preview/scan of the document from there ? == There are several applications that do scanning e.g photoshop, and I dont remember having problems with a HP scanner. The HP application that comes with it works fine - and ties the scanning application with the scanner object that appears on "My computer" my 3 cents
