Try to interview your 50bob movie guy - If the guy has a copy of a movie that opened in US/UK theaters like last week - and insists that "its clear" - then the supplier is a liar.
I usually give it a month or three after a movie is released before visiting the Internet Download sites or the 50 bob place to get a clean copy.
For series, you can download the day after it showed in the US/UK.
