Perhaps I should tweak my MD more but already I do get false +ves due to RBL'd mail servers for some local ISPs. The AV engine as you say is just bells and whistles if u ask me. It uses Kaspersky defns but doesnt seem to detect malware. So I integrated my MD with Clamwin and still viruses got thru. That's y I'm trying a third option. Me. Is it Free? Could you please give a url link to it so that we can see the features? I haven't used it, but the last time I checked MDaemon had very good spam filtering internally. It only needed someone who understand spam filtering to tune it. What needed to be added was virus filtering engine, which altn.com also sells.
Even Barracuda needs tuning.
