Hi yall,
Just curious, This gov is sponsoring the idea right!? Who is enforcing the intellectual right policy on the ideas that will be given?? How full proof is this?? If you give your idea, is it protected?? If it is then I will try, If not...
Whats the sense of giving an idea and then being told it doesnt qualify then you see it being implemented by some multinational company thats sponsoring the gov in the first place and you are helpless.
If our intellectual rights are being protected and If we can trace the company thats sponsoring our gov and its agreeable(not shifty) then we can go ahead
but, this is my opinion, What do yall think??
Ruth, I think the best thing for you (and everyone else) is to get the documentation provided by KICT and see if they address such issues as raised by you. If they don't, you may as well go for the grant, but ensure that your proposal has enough pages of legal protection lingo preceding it, signed by a lawyer who understands Intellectual Property Rights. like it:-) I think there may be one such lawyer in KE, named Murungi.. Given your concerns, I think many may hesitate to go for the grant. -- Best regards, Odhiambo WASHINGTON, Nairobi,KE +254733744121/+254722743223 _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ "If you have nothing good to say about someone, just shut up!." -- Lucky Dube
