A quick lesson from Safaricom and KPLC incidents. If monopoly favours you, nature acts on the contrary, always. The question that lingers on my mind is do these blue chip companies - per our standards - have a fall back plan to avert such calamities from taking place in fuure? This is the third time we are experiencing a power blackout and an umpteenth time Safaricom has been a real pain to the consumers. Interestingly, the CEOs of these companies are always blaming it on this and that technical hitch. BTW, did you notice the chief at KPLC was stammering, literary as he tried explaining why we had a five hour blackout last night? And why do we not see someone else, apart from MJ, telling us of petty issues @ Safcom e.g. how a new tariff works, why there is a tech hitch, why this and that! MJ is synonymous with Safcom.
