More info : Windows XP Mode and Windows Virtual PC, available on Windows 7 Professional and Windows 7 Ultimate, allow you to run multiple Windows environments, such as Windows XP Mode, from your Windows 7 desktop

And you can download WinXP Mode for free http://www.microsoft.com/windows/virtual-pc/download.aspx
Comment : The install file is 500MB. Which I believe is a full XP install and you can run XP on the same machine as 7. Interesting development.
Corrections welcome.

Hallo, If an application refuses to install on Windows 7; like most oracle products for example. Usually just right click on the setup.exe of the given application and set the compatibility mode to which ever previous Windows OS XP, NT and run there after run. There maybe be issues display but found that to be the easiest way to install. Regards
