Such things wont happen unless we push the same as tax payers. Any public servant will tell you that they are not in the business of saving money - they spend what is allocated to them. They are allocated what they request during the budgeting process. This money belongs to you and me and thats why we should shout and make noise when our money is not spent wisely. But for the majority of us, its ok since we think that its Government money. Government does not have money. Its your money. For instance the PM didnt have to go all the way to Turkey to discuss Somalia. He could have just skyped.
