Martin, chances are if the core 2 duo performs better, it does so with the sacrifice of more power. If I were you I would go for the core i3 though its about 1.5 yrs old now; its a Nahalem architecture.
Try starcom comp shop..norwich union house 1st floor..ma cuz got a quad core wit 8gb ram..500gb harddisk n Ati radeon graphics for 48 k..that machine z awesome..for 60 k I can visibly rem some quotes on the wall offering i5s n i7s..pitia ucheki
