Hello Skunks, I don't know how many know of the skunks irc channel and how to log in. What's more is that you can ask all your questions there and get immediate chat response from the listers logged in. I assume it's better for as much guys to log in and engage each other more, so I decided to post a guide of how to do this. Please note I'm specific to the XChat client software on linux (make sure you have xchat installed on your linux box) . For windows specific I ask the listers to contribute - I presume u can use chatzilla, WinRC etc so lister offer guide and let congregate in the skunks channel: Other tools are welcome on any platform
How to log into IRC channel from Xchat on linux (make sure xchat isinstalled) . Start xchat, its in Internet softwares, chat) . On the menu labelled XChat click Network List for a pop-up. . On the Network list pop-up you can choose the Nickanames you want to be using. . Click add and label or rename the "New Network" as 'Skunkworks'. . Once done highlight the channel i.e. Skunkworks and click edit. . On the "Servers for Skunkworks" edit the "newserver/6667" and put my.co.ke . Still on the pop-up under Favorite Channel: enter #skunks (Include the hash i.e. #) . Confirm that the my.co.ke url is correct and also that favorite channel is correct . Click cancel to exit . On the Network list menu, select Skunkworks and click connect.
