I had a sick relative in hospital, as well as a rent arrears for that month (my tenancy agreement requires I pay by 5th), luckily some client wired some MPesa to which I promptly went to withdraw from an Equity ATM since I didn&#39;t have my ID. <div>
<br></div><div>I have never been shocked. Nothing came out, only an sms to confirm I have withdrawn.<div><div><br></div><div>It was Saturday afternoon. So I called Safaricom, I called the Equity hotline and talked to some smart talking chick. Assured, I calmed down.</div>
<div><br></div><div>Monday 9AM and my money was there in Mpesa. Of course I had an excuse for the landlord and the hospital in the name of post dated cheques!</div><div><br></div><div>Moral of the story, don&#39;t bank on technology, have some backup of sorts.</div>

I think this is not an isolated case, I did an ATM withdrawal with<br>
equity a while ago and while the 2k wasn&#39;t dispensed, it was duducted<br>
on my mpesa balance. I have tried following this issue with equity and<br>
safcom till I gave up!  So the atm withdrawal is tricky!!!<br>
