Here in the kamba desert/village they use african electronics or bluetooth/wifi control for security.
It is pretty efficient.
You find an unattended sack of charcoal, park the car wait for approx 5 minutes for the vendor to come and sell it to you. There have been cases of if someone takes the charcoal the vehicles reaches somewhere and stalls.
Stolen goats have been known to speak to their captors.
Stolen money has been heard to turn into feces until it gets back to its owner.
You get my drift.
Some might take it as comic relief and some might take it quite seriously.
