Andrew and other good people,
I'd advise that you at first try out as many aspects as you can-the skills tht you gain will be valuable, then you can narrow down to what interest you.
While still at it, am working but now seriously looking for a job, after joining a certain organization as an IT assistant 3yrs ago with a degree in software eng. My main concern is increased responsilities that are way off my career line-operations mgnt, fleet management, and even estates..pursuing an MBA(MIS) Looking for a position of a systems admin now, where I'l be challenged, but grow careerwise.
Any Links will be greatly appreciated.
Regards,
Patrick Mathenge
