Not necessarily irrelevant, but the issue with Alexa is it gets affected by small changes in Internet usage, for example, they recently released update that would by default disable the chrome extension. This means they lost data from all those who did not re-install the extension. Depending on your country, some times Alexa data can be influenced by the surfing habits of as few as five people! I have a query regarding Alexa rankings. Here's the situation.
I believe I have my SEO elements sorted ie Content, Keywords, HTML, Social and all. My Google Analytics stats bear me out in that my traffic stats have been and are on the rise. My issue comes in with the Alexa ranking, seems the site has dropped by about 70 positions country-wise.
I'd like to know if you pay much attention to your Alexa ranking. Secondly there's the issue of the ranking being based on people who have installed the Alexa toolbar on their browsers so does this mean the point of using Alexa ranking as a metric irrelevant?
