That&#39;s why I stopped with them few years ago and opted for alternatives (a guy buying French bouquet from Congo or something like that then hooking the dish to satellite) but then I had kids and they wanted cartoons, so I was back with DSTV.<br>
<br>DSTV is very shitty and I have decided to do without DSTV for one month or two... I know I&#39;ll miss the sport though...<br>I hope Canal+ (the leader in French-speaking countries in Africa) will soon launch their new satellite so that Kenya is included in their Indian Ocean cover (Madagascar; Reunion, Maurice); but I know DSTV will do everything possible to block this.<br>

May be DSTV should consider  hourly rates for the standard decoder - just like DSTV mobile where you pay 60 bob to watch 3 hours of selected channels, mainly football and FTAs. This way you only pay to watch what you want (as opposed to being forced to watch repeats and Naija juju) <br>

You will get 100s to 1000s of channels depending on satellite orientation and/or size of dish. You will have the HUGE task of configuring your favourite channels then.<div><br></div><div>For local programming, I simply switch to my analogue/digital terestial TV signals.</div>
