Yeah, the local prices are exceedingly high. All the pro photographers I know do NOT buy their gear locally, instead, they buy from e-bay or amazon and have a guy coming in from abroad bring them. Sure you will have to wait a few more days, but its way more value for money, considering you can get a kit with other useful "stuff" in addition to the body and standard lenses at the same price.
