Ok, share your experience. Also re-install same firmware version, then restore dss file you backed up and later upgrade latest DSM.
Ok. I'll take my chances and click "Erase data" on my DS112j. Configuration file is backed up.On Tue, Nov 18, 2014 at 7:52 AM, Josy Ngatia via skunkworks <skunkworks@lists.my.co.ke> wrote:Eugene,

Started blinking orange and producing a beeping sound. I was fidgeting around with it and reset it. Reading up a bit about it, I got the Synology Web Assistant to check the two 3TB disks. All looked fine although I suspect one might have crashed. I got the 'Configuration Lost' message. The Wizard suggested that I re-install DSM on the drives. What will be the effect of re-installing DSM? Will I loose all my data? Been looking up this information to no avail. Anyone with an idea?Kakai
