A lot go into buying a product so you have a point. That said, what sell apple stuff is software and packaging, every other hard work is done by others.  That doesn't apply to TV. You just have a brand and electronics.

As for LED being a commodity,  I am going to disagree. They have most of the patents, economy of scale and best quality. This being a high capital industry,  that's not going to change soon and should be a little scarcely.

Why do you think apple is stuck with them despite the strained relationship? That shouldnt happen with a commodity. I will concede to being wrong if apple manage to avoid them completely  in the next three years
