You can have google apps and then integrate with a mail client such as thunderbird, evolution or even outlook.

why don't you try postfix and install squirrelmail. It's easy, light,
scalable n there's a lot of documentation available online. If you
install webmin, managing the setup becomes a walk in the park. The
