Taking it outside the classroom to me means its practical application. That was my entire point. My idea is that you will give more value to a beginning programmer by teaching them a language that is used more "outside".

I wasn't comparing Pascal to Python, or anything else. I was merely pointing out that Pascal can be "taken outside the classroom".
