If we use your logic then that would exactly be where the problem is, Apple relying on putting all its "apples" in one basked (Steve Jobs). Contrast that with Samsung? Pixar on the other hand was another of Jobs' greats, he left and Pixar has continued to blossom. They have technology we 3D developers salivate for all developed post Jobs. So why would we want as a Nation to go by the Apple model where it is a single name behind the success? Companies and governments are bigger than the individual. Individuals die, companies and governments live on. I believe that is why you keep re-electing leaders after 5 years.
