I bought a Toshiba 17" desktop replacement laptop at Neptune in 2008 and had the same problem. I bought the machine for 86k and when I had enough of it, I got a very good friend who gave me 72k and I just got over it.

That said. I formatted the laptop, Re-installed evrything but there was just no solution. I think it was a deep problem and I have not known what was happening. But now I suspect that it was the Vista. The friend downgraded it to XP Pro and I had Vista Business. I couldnt downgrade it because I just love Vista.

I first feared going to the friend's shop lest I be asked what the problem with the laptop wasbut now I realise that it might have been the OS

before shutdown or the first error msgs after restart. In xp it wil be
