I guess yours is a case of the 'unfortunate' where Huawei is getting cleverer and one can only unlock it in the EEPROM (previous discussion on skunkworks) - a more complicated method.

What is supposed to happen is,, you put wrong Simcard, it asks you for unlock code,, and you put in the code..

Ask "dennis kioko" for more tips...
