Very true Nyang. Just to add its better to use 5ghz for the ptp links, its less crowded or use the new ubiquiti radios the Airmax series on 2.4 in crowded (high interference areas) they have a feature they call airmax. It knocks off 1 or 2 mbps but you overcome the interference.
Guys,
I have an Internet connection somewhere in the middle of the bush and would like to "extend" this to another part where there is no CLOS. It's about 5km away. One site is on the hill, while the one I'd like to 'extend' to is downhill. What considerations do I need to make? Anyone willing to take a ride on our Cessna into the bush to do a survey??
Talk to me off list!
