I think Gregory has a good point. It is cost effective to use copper if u are to do it on your own, especially if it is within the same compound. However, your challenge is the 500m distance. This may not be covered using copper and thus the best option is to obtain a fiber link through a provider. This way, you don't have to cater for civil works, trenching license, terminal equipment e.t.c
