I think now even us we are losing track of the bigger picture. I would think the issue of concern is not the technology that is in use but the aptitude of the personnel running them. If the guys there are jokers installing FOSS will not magically make them style up.

Instead of (boringly!) harping about Windows isn't a more useful question to raise the aptitude of the personnel who run our e-infrastucture? China and Russia are investing in Cyber-war. Shouldn't our focus be on improving the calibre of the people that run this infrastructure instead of whether they use folders or directories?

Microsoft Windows Server 2003 SP1 - wow!!
I hear Windows Server admins are so scared of applying patches (service packs) as sometimes that resets all the configs they had made:)

Well, one day when Skunkworks gets resgistered as something and gets recognition, they will be able to "talk to govt" (Mr. Gakuru?) and tell them that there are better/secure/efficient server software out there.
