I really dont think our Kamaus and Otieno would be willing to suicidally bomb themselves out ..Mabbe throw grenades in clubs and run away. That being said - I was once working near the Somali border. And our driver told us that - apparently the guys who want to make it into Kenya and get all the papers need to pay USD. 5000 per person; I even saw a landcruiser supposedly ferrying these illegals. And I wondered; if we can spot these guys easily, why not the police ? This is probably because the USD. 5000 per person greases hands all the way from the border to the ID and Birth-Certificate fronts in Nairobi ! ALL HAIL PIRACY DOLLARS !!! ----------------------------- On another subject: During my driving test 2 yrs ago at a Police Station; there was this strange looking Somali man; so obviously not a Kenyan, he looked timid and scared (like some suicide bomber) - cudnt speak a word of swahili or english, and cudnt produce an ID when the officer in charge asked.. Guess what ? Along with the rest of us - he passed the Driving Test ! HAIL OUR UNDERPAID OFFICERS !!!
