Just installed RHEL 5.3, after rebooting the system after the installation completed, everything is listed as [ *OK* ] until this ..................... Probing for Video card: ASPEED Technology, Inc. AST2000 Attempting to start native X server Waiting for X server to start...log located in /dev/null 1...2...3...4...5...X server started successfully. firstboot: Fatal IO error 104 (Connection reset by peer) on X server :9.0.
Then it just chills there, any idea how to resolve this.
Try to hitting CTRL+ALT+F1 to see if you can login on a terminal session and then check xorg logs for errors. i.e under /var/log/Xorg... -- ˙˙˙˙˙˙˙˙˙˙˙˙˙˙˙˙˙˙˙˙˙˙˙ 'spɹɐƃǝɹ ıʞnɾu pıʌɐp
