To add on.

Applications like Photoshop, After Effects are already 64Bit. And with Windows this has been 64Bit with windows since CS4.

Premiere will follow suite soon as will other app's however to date the most memory intensive app's have been After Effects and Photoshop.

Mac OS X Snow Leopard (10.6) is a 64-bit OS capable of running both
32-bit and 64-bit applications.  Not sure if Adobe CS5 is a 64-bit
application.
