
@david, you must be mistaken. Our generation capacity is way below 1900, must be slightly higher than 1050, but so is our peak demand. And with geo thermal potential of 7000mw, we would be the first nation. And i think cost wise it would help to work on the supply chain. Our national generation capacity is 1900Mw. One 'small' Nuclear plant produces 2000Mw costs about 1B USD and it takes 25years before we start thinking what to do with the spent uranium fuel rods.
Futhermore which country in the world has met it's electricity demands purely on renewable sources? Not even New Zealand or the Vatican ;-)
Can we be for real, we need electricity and badly it's not the source as much as the quantity and the urgency. It's worth noting that a good number of people on this list dont have electricity upcountry.
