I tried that stunt sam time back and worked pretty well here is a microreview of my experience . . . Though I have several expletives to describe them, Safcom is the best in terms of speeds with 3g. . Yu are reliable coz they have few clients hence they cant pull the congestion card on us . . . . Orange seem to gobble up unnecessary data eg a page that normally loads with 10kb on saf gobbles up 30kb + on orange . . . Maybe my eyes have parralax . . I dont know . . . Zain have tottaly lost it and not worth a mention . . . . I wud stick to yu. . . They seem to have their stuff together . . . 4 now . . . On 7/5/09, aki <aki275@googlemail.com> wrote:
Hi @Wes. I use Orange@ 1ksh/MByte and Yu@ 3ksh/MByte. Found Yu to have the least of downtime. Orange have improved. I switch cards on my e960 ( ex safcom purchased wifi router at 25k, firmware..... ) which has builtin WIFI. Interestingly, I'd thought about getting a dual sim phone ( or modem or even serial port card ) which can support multilink ( when ofc light hits these networks ), insert 2 Orange sims and create multi-link PPP. On Orange with 2 sims, cost would be 2 Ksh/MByte with twice the output. 3G is in for a competition soon.. hehehe.
