[Skunkworks] firefox crashing, whats the most stable release

hello skunks, i have always opened two tabs whenever i finish a new install of windows, gmail and firefox to download it. Of late however, i have noted with concern that the latest stable version (3.0.5 i think) is not soo stable. to an extent that i have at times chosen to just install chrome and move on. could anyone recommend a stable version? -- Someone in Kenya cares about the environent. http://www.cra-africa.info
